ACT and AI – Medicine Grand Rounds

Dr. Carroll provided the Department of Medicine Grand Rounds audience with a talk entitled Advanced Communication Training – An update in a brave new world this past Tuesday. Audience questions focused heavily on AI, both in the context of integrating SOPHIE into the ACT Program (and communication training generally) and larger issues related to medical education. You can see the full talk here (requires UR credentials).

He also provided a brief overview of the some of the recent problematic changes to the MOLST form, specifically Section C, which deals with intubation/mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation (CPAP and BiPAP). Shortly after the talk, we received word that revisions are in the works and we certainly hope that the ambiguities and omissions will be rectified!

Since AI was (and is!) such a hot topic, we thought we’d see if you can tell which if the “real Tom Carroll” and which is AI generated! =)
